Creativity & Community along Charles Street

Two of Advent’s most joyful community traditions, Grandfriend’s Day and the Art Stroll, returned on May 8–9. On May 8, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other family and friends spent the morning in Advent classrooms with their students. They wrote original stories, tackled design challenges and logic puzzles, and experience firsthand the unique magic of our school community.

In the afternoon, Advent’s campus transformed into a vibrant gallery bursting with creativity, color, and imagination. Hallways and classrooms came alive with an incredible display of student artwork, from striking two-dimensional pieces to sculptures and portraits that invited exploration and wonder.

The Art Stroll’s open house-style celebration extended beyond campus and onto Charles Street, where local businesses proudly showcased Advent student artwork in their storefronts and establishments. Families strolled through the neighborhood, admired the creativity of students in every grade, and experienced the excitement of seeing our young artists featured throughout the community.

The Advent School is grateful to Beacon Hill Books & Cafe, Charles Street Family Chiropractic, JP Licks, and Minni for displaying student work and making the Art Stroll a true community event!
