Ongoing collaboration is essential for imagining new possibilities for education.
Educator Visits
Each year, The Advent School welcomes educators from around the world to see our pedagogical approach in action! Our exchanges with educators are an important part of our professional growth and support reflection on our practices.
Visits offer an intimate experience for small groups. This experience includes in-class observations, a tour of the school, and time for dialogue with fellow educators. Educator Visits are tailored to those working in early education and upper elementary positions and for educational leaders and administrators. All visits are from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
The Advent School offers many ways to engage in dialogue about Reggio-inspired progressive education.

Our team has never visited anywhere like The Advent School in their lives. I am impressed with the dedication to the original founders and to the reason the original founders decided to start the school. Our understanding of equity in this world has such a long way to go! The children were beautiful, inviting and well-spoken. You should be proud!

We were inspired by so many aspects of Advent's approach, and will discuss our takeaways on Monday at a Division meeting. The members of the faculty and administration we encountered were all so warm, smart and committed. I hope we can continue to learn from you, since you have been around for about fifty years longer!

We absolutely loved visiting and learning all about Advent. It was both inspiring to see all the work you are doing with students/families and to hear about all the same issues that you face and we are experiencing too.

We truly enjoyed exploring the warm and engaging environment you’ve created for the children. It was a pleasure to see the thoughtfully designed classrooms and the meaningful interactions between your teachers and students. The dedication and care that your team brings to fostering a love of learning and discovery were inspiring to witness.
Krista Botsch, Child Development Specialist, JCC Godine Early Learning Center (Newton, Massachusetts)

Advent Feeder Schools (schools that have sent students to Advent in the last 5 years) can send educators to these workshops for FREE. Please email adventadmin@adventschool.org for more information.
