At Advent, we often talk about what it means for students to learn with passion, act with courage, and change the world. Recently, one of our third graders showed us exactly what that can look like in action.

Alongside the progressive, hands-on learning that defines our classrooms, Advent nurtures a deeply inclusive and supportive community where students build meaningful connections with one another.

Through drawing, writing, conversation, and collaboration, ECC and Kindergarten students are building a strong foundation in literacy while developing their identities as readers, writers, and thinkers.

The Advent School is in the running for Boston Parents' Family Favorites in TWO categories: Private Independent Elementary School and Summer STEAM Program. 

Advent Fourth Graders delved into Research & Investigation unit on guinea pigs, which was inspired by our resident pets Mochi and S’Mores. The exploration blended observation, collaboration, research, writing, and technology. We hope you enjoy the result of their hard work!
