Summer happenings with Advent
We hope you're having a wonderful summer!
With more than a month of sunshine still ahead, there's plenty of time to enjoy beaches, playgrounds, neighborhood festivals, and all the adventures that make summer in Boston so special. We'd love for you to make a few memories with The Advent School along the way!
Join us at these free, family-friendly community events—everyone is welcome, so bring a friend or two. Whether you're already part of the Advent community or just getting to know us, we'd be delighted to see you.
Not yet an Advent family? We'd love to meet you! These events are a fun, relaxed way to connect with our faculty and staff, ask questions, and learn more about our progressive, Reggio-inspired, and social justice-focused approach to education for children in Pre-K through Grade 6.
We hope to see you this summer!
Thursday, July 30
Bluey Dance Party at Myrtle Street Playground
4:00–5:00 p.m.
Put on your dancing shoes and join The Advent School for an afternoon of music, movement, and community fun! We'll have dancing, arts and crafts, and plenty of opportunities to play and connect.
Advent faculty and staff will also be on hand to answer questions and share what makes our joyful, Reggio-inspired approach to learning so special. It's a wonderful chance to meet other families while enjoying a summer afternoon together.
Sunday, August 2
Open Streets Jamaica Plain
10:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Join us for Open Streets Jamaica Plain, when Centre Street—from Lamartine Street to Lochstead Avenue—becomes a vibrant, pedestrian-only celebration of community. The day features live entertainment, activities for all ages, local organizations, and plenty of opportunities to explore the neighborhood.
Stop by The Advent School's table to meet faculty and staff, learn more about our Pre-K through Grade 6 program, and discover how our Reggio-inspired curriculum, hands-on learning, and close-knit community help children grow into curious, confident, and compassionate learners.
