Sherry Turkle, bestselling author, professor at MIT, and a leading voice on the impact of technology on human relationships, will be visiting The Advent School to speak with parents about her work.
Drawing on decades of research, she will address issues such as the hijacking of our attention by digital devices, the emotional and cognitive costs of constant connectivity, and the erosion of rich, in-person relationships.
Her talk will invite parents to reflect on how technology shapes our children’s development, communication, and sense of self, and to consider practical ways to foster deeper connection and presence in family and school life.
