“Advent absolutely prepares students for the discipline, curiosity, community building and healthy risk taking that will help them grow and thrive in their next schools.”
“For my family, it wasn't about public versus private. It was about Advent versus all other schools.”
At Advent, we believe that learning to read and write should be both joyful and empowering. Literacy is woven throughout the school day as students engage in both thematically integrated, inquiry-based projects and receive dedicated instruction in phonics, grammar, and comprehension. In this way, Advent cultivates a love of language and builds each child’s own identity as a reader and a writer.
At The Advent School, we empower students to step into leadership roles—and these Third Graders did just that!
As the season of gratitude arrives, we asked our students a simple question: What are you thankful for about The Advent School? Their answers were thoughtful, joyful, and uniquely Advent.
By integrating science, math, literacy, and creative problem-solving, this project allows first graders to investigate agriculture from multiple angles while building confidence as thinkers, makers, and collaborators. Their farms—and their learning—continue to grow!
