Affinity spaces for Advent parents/caregivers

The Families of Color Affinity Group creates a space for families of color to gather, share their experiences, and engage in open dialogue during their Advent journey. The Families of Color Group hosts events to build community among Advent's community members of color.

FACE (Fostering Allyship, Community, and Equity) is a group of white caregivers working together to understand the history and impacts of racism and implement strategies to dismantle it in the Advent and greater Boston communities.

In fall 2023, Families of Color and FACE hosted a breakfast for prospective families during the Open House Preview. Other events hosted by the affinity groups include playground meet-ups, field trips to area historical and cultural institutions and performances, and more.

Contact Molly Wood, Events & Community Engagement Coordinator, to learn more about these affinity groups.
