The search process took approximately 10 months to complete. It began with the assembly of an official Search Committee – composed of Advent faculty and staff, current parents, and members of our broader community – and the retention of RG175 as its executive search firm specializing in independent schools. Together, the Committee and RG175:
Met with and conducted a survey of the Advent community
Developed a comprehensive School and Candidate Position Statement
Reviewed applications and conducted extensive interviews
Selected three finalists to introduce to the Advent Community
Each finalist spent two days on campus, meeting in person with trustees, senior leadership, faculty, and staff. The candidates also participated in a series of open forums, during which Advent families heard directly from each finalist and had the opportunity to ask questions.
Families and staff were then invited to fill out a survey and/or contact the Search Committee Chair to offer their thoughts on each potential Head of School. The Search Committee took this important feedback into account before making their recommendation to Advent’s Board of Trustees. In the final step in the process, the Board met to discuss the recommendation and hold an official vote.
