Grades 4-6
High standards and small classes are hallmarks of our upper grades. Classroom teachers design powerful academic programs directly linked to the School’s mission of social justice and environmental sustainability.
The Program of Integrated Research invites children to design two to three major research projects of their choosing within the thematic context. Having been taught to gather and record information, cross subject matter boundaries, and look for connections within particular areas of study, they deepen their knowledge of real world issues and become dedicated researchers with the ability to synthesize ideas into a new whole.
