Facilities

The Advent School is housed in two adjoining townhouses on Beacon Hill.  Facilities include a playground for daily recess, a large music room where Music studies can be both vocal and active, and an Art Studio for creative exploration.  A new science laboratory classroom invites children at all grade levels to become young scientists.

Physical Education takes place in the newly renovated facilities of the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club. Students are bused (and seat-belted) to and from school. They also enjoy daily recess on the School’s own playground, ice skating at the Frog Pond on Boston Common, sports in nearby parks, and the School’s annual Field Day at Ledermann Field.

Advent has a spacious library with 10,000 volumes, along with reference materials, magazines, and videos. The library suite includes a reading group area and computer lab, in addition to cozy nooks and window seats for curling up with a good book.
